SHARING EXPERIENCES-JULY

For the month of July, Mr. Prakash Sigdel, an Environment Inspector in the Department of Environment under Ministry of Population and Environment, was invited as the guest speaker to share his knowledge and experience. With the topic ‘Scope and Challenges of Environmental Sector in Nepalese Civil Service’, Mr Sigdel stated the Department of Environment in Nepal to be in its pioneering stage with many challenges regarding budget, power distribution and skilled human resources. He further mentioned that there is a great scope for the sector as the government has been gradually prioritizing environmental issues for which it is working closely with many NGOs. The talk ended on a note of hope to further grow the department with efforts from both the concerned authorities and youths of the nation.
