Mr. Purna Man Shrestha, Research Associate at Resources Himalaya Foundation shared
his knowledge and experiences on research of otter species through an informal talk
entitled “Issues and Challenges in Research and Conservation of Otter Species in
Nepal”. He focused on the challenges in conserving this species and conducting otter
research in Nepal. Mr. Shrestha described the techniques to distinguish the otter species
with other small mammals in the field. Over thirty students from different institutions
were present in this talk program.
