An International Meeting on Twenty-Five Years of Community Forestry: Mapping Tree Dynamics in Nepal

The two-day meeting was organized ON 29 – 30 November, 2018 by Forest Action Nepal and Resources Himalaya Foundation which was supported by NASA, East-West Center, Oregon State University, University of Bern and South Asian Research Institute (SARI).
The expert presenters had very insightful dissemination on topics such as Forest Cover Change in Nepal, NASA Land Cover/Land Use Change Program-funded research project in Nepal, Implications of Forests and Livelihoods, Forest Monitoring and Drivers of Change in Forests. There was the participation of individuals from different governmental and non-governmental organizations and academic institutions.
Following the meeting, Training on Google Earth Engine was conducted on 3-4 December 2018 at Forest Action Nepal.
