Otter Conservation Awareness 2019-Bardia

A three day (26-28 May) Otter conservation awareness campaign was organized in a total of six local government schools followed by one day (29 May) workshop for the celebration of World Otter Day in Bardia National Park. The participants included representatives from Bardia National Park, Community Based Anti-Poaching Unit, Buffer Zone Management Committee, Community Forest User Group, Ujaylo Nepal, Security Forces, National Trust for Nature Conservation, local government schools, Nature Guide Association, and Eco Tourism Development Form, Bardia Nature Conservation Club. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to Ramesh Kumar Thapa (former Chief Conservation Officer of Bardia National Park), Ashok Bhandari (Assistant Chief Conservation Officer of Bardia National Park), Ananath Baral (Chief Conservation Officer of Bardia National Park), Laxmi Raj Joshi (National Trust for Nature Conservation), Hemanta Acharya (President of Community Based Anti-Poaching Unit), and the volunteers for providing technical support and perfect coordination for the successful completion of this event.
