RHF along with EGH has a long tradition of marking the important environment days. On May 22, RHF has celebrated International Day for Biological Diversity 2019 with the theme ” Our Biodiversity, Our Food, Our Health”. On the occasion we had invited Dr. Achyut Tiwari, lecturer at Tri-Chandra College as a guest speaker who interacted with the graduates on the topic ” Ecosystem Alteration in Human Health in Nepal” focusing on the changes on the changes of the diversity of Nepal in the present years. The causes may be the anthropogenic factors, climate change and many others but he concluded on advocating about the biodiversity.
In the same way we had announced the photography competition on the same occasion based on its theme. And we had received 10 photographs, among which 3 were selected as the best photographs which was judged by Mr. Naresh Kusi, Research Associate at RHF. The 3 winners are Ms. Shreeya Manandhar from KU, Mr. Kamal B.K from AFU, Rampur, Chitwan and Ms. Richa Pandey from HICAST. The winners were awarded by Dr. Dinesh Raj Bhuju, General secretary at RHF with displaying all the photographs.
At last, Dr. Bhuju concluded the program with handling the token of appreciation to our guest speaker and encouraging our young graduates towards the knowledge building of the biodiversity as well as what is happening right now.
