Celebration of World Elephant Day 2019

Resources Himalaya Foundation and Environmental Graduates in Himalaya celebrated the World Elephant Day 2019 by organizing an interactive workshop in a theme “Working together for elephant” at Conservation Chautari, Resources Himalaya Foundation on Monday, 12th August. Dr. Dinesh Neupane, elephant researcher and Research Fellow at Resources Himalaya Foundation shared his research-based knowledge on various aspects of Asian elephant conservation. Dr. Neupane focused on issues and challenges on elephant conservation in Nepal. Dr. Neupane also discussed the human-elephant conflict mitigating techniques and how coexistence between human and elephant can be achieved in elephant range areas. Over 30 participants from different institutions were present at Conservation Chautari to celebrate the World Elephant Day.
