AWARD AND CERTIFICATE DISTRIBUTION PROGRAM 2021

Resources Himalaya Foundation and Environmental Graduates in Himalaya organized an Award and Certificate Distribution Ceremony on September 24.The objective of the program was to appreciate and acknowledge the contributions of EGH coordinators, encourage and support the winners and active participants of different programs which were organized during the past few months.
The program was organized physically at Dr. Pralad Yonzan Memorial Conservation Chautari and attended by the awardees, research grantees and honorable guest. Dr. Dinesh Raj Bhuju, General Secretary at RHF chaired the program. Dr. Rejina Byanju Maskey, Professor and Head of Department of Central Department of Environmental Science and Mr. Yogendra Subedi from Institute of Social and Environmental Transition- Nepal were the chief guests.
In the first session, appreciating the contribution of former coordinator Ms. Sheila Ghimire, the position was handed over to new EGH Coordinator, Ms. Srijana Sigdel. Then, the editors of Headlines Himalaya form March to August and the Interns were presented with their certificates. The winners of Voice for Science Campaign which was held on the occasion of National Science Day 2078 were awarded with cash prize and certificates. Also, the winners of Himalaya Knowledge Conclave, Seventh Graduate Conference were awarded with cash prize and certificates. Prof. Dr. Maskey and Mr. Subedi, who represented the partner organization of HKC gave their remarks on the graduate conference and how it has been contributing to the growth of young graduates. Finally the grantees who are being supported by RHF for their academic research or thesis were presented with their grants. The program ended with concluding remarks by the chair of the program.
